Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Supervisor

PURPOSE OF POSITION:  
This position is responsible for ensuring all revenue and receivables for two operational entities are timely and properly recorded.  The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is customer service oriented and provides as-needed, project-based administrative support to the Accounting and Finance teams and to Operations and Sales.

  • Review all invoicing 
  • Review all check runs

  • Review cash collection batches
  • Verify contract details in billing database
  • Prepare monthly revenue accruals
  • Prepare monthly expense accruals
  • Complex billing for specific contracts
  • Concession reporting
  • Prepare monthly unearned revenue calculations
  • Review month end financials
  • Projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Compliance with all applicable environmental laws and permits.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Good working knowledge of a General Ledger accounting system; knowledge of Sage a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management, representatives, employees and all departments within the company, including operations, maintenance, human resources, payroll, accounting, etc.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines; must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize; and attend/participate in meetings presenting a team player approach.

Pay Rate: $9.50+/hour | Shift: 5:30AM-8:30AM

Here at Quantem Aviation Services, we are a contractor who handles the loading and unloading of our customer's aircraft.  We marshal the planes in, set them up, unload/reload, wrap-up, and send them out. Most packages shipped on the planes are loaded into a ULD (Unit Load Device). We handle the movement of the ULDs on and off the aircraft and in and out of the facility.  The ULDs are transferred onto dollies which are equipped with a roller system. As a team, we work together to control the flow of the ULDs throughout the operation as they may weigh on average of 3,000 lbs.  So you must  be able to push/pull and be able to lift in excess of 50lbs. 


We work in all outdoor elements RAIN, HEAT, WIND, and whatever else Mother Nature deems necessary for the season.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Properly and safely loads and unloads freight. Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines.
  • Protects freight from elements, damage and vandalism.
  • Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness.
  • Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers.
  • Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained.
  • Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely.
  • Must successfully complete all training classes.
  • Obtains proper security documents for all shipments.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Overview:

Development of the overall strategy for all health, safety and environmental initiatives for the Inland Group of Companies including Inland Technologies, IDS, and Quantem Aviation Services in Canada, the US, and Europe while providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure occupational health, safety and environmental laws, regulations and operating permit requirements, in addition to Inland standards, are exceeded and consistent with Inland’s Health, Safety and Environment Policy statement while ensuring that no level of harm is acceptable to anyone as a cost of doing business and that all Inland stakeholders return home with no adverse effect to their health.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Lead and provide direction for the Environment, Health and Safety function.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with senior leadership to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Liaise collaboratively and make recommendations to Inland Group managers and other stakeholders consistent with Inland’s safety culture.
  • Develop overall strategy of continuous improvement for the health, safety and environmental function.

  • Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support for regulatory compliance issues.

  • Auditing and reporting of operational practices relevant to the health, safety and environment function.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environment, Safety & Health Management or a related field is preferred although relevant post-secondary education or combination of continuing education and experience may be acceptable.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of leadership/managerial experience within the Environmental Health and Safety function required.
  • Proven leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated effective presentation skills and training delivery skills with an ability to tailor presentations to the audience and an ability to effectively influence people at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of Global environmental, safety & health regulatory and statutory requirements.
