CARGO AGENT (AM - WAREHOUSE)
AVAILABLE SHIFT: 
Tues - Fri 1:30 am to 8:00 am

Here at Quantem Aviation Services, we are a contractor who handles the loading and unloading of our customer's aircraft.  We marshal the planes in, set them up, unload/reload, wrap-up, and send them out. Most packages shipped on the planes are loaded into a ULD (Unit Load Device). We handle the movement of the ULDs on and off the aircraft and in and out of the facility.  The ULDs are transferred onto dollies which are equipped with a roller system. As a team, we work together to control the flow of the ULDs throughout the operation as they may weigh on average 3,000 lbs.  So you must  be able to push/pull and be able to lift in excess of 50lbs. 

We work in all outdoor elements: RAIN, HEAT, WIND, and whatever else Mother Nature deems necessary for the season.

As a team, we work together to control the flow of the ULDs throughout the operation as they may weigh up to 4500 lbs.  So you must  be able to push/pull and be able to lift in excess of 50lbs. In addition to the larger aircraft, we also load and unload individual packages to/from smaller aircraft ("Feeder Planes") with the assistance of a conveyor belt to help transport the packages from the plane to the ULD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Duties and responsibilities can change based on need.

  • Load/Unload Jet Aircraft and Small Feeder Aircraft
  • Movement of containerized packages to/from sort
  • Marshal aircraft in/out of parking positions
  • Deice aircraft during winter operations 
  • Effectively operate within team environment to ensure safe and timely departures of all aircraft
  • Compliance with all applicable environmental laws and permits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation
  • Completion of required security clearance and pre employment drug screening
  • Successful completion of required airport and USPS badging process/fingerprinting and pre-employment drug screen is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Ramp Agent (Seasonal)
Location: Fort Myers, FLDepartment: RSW

SHIFT HOURS: 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Here at Quantem Aviation Services, we are a contractor who handles the loading and unloading of our customer's aircraft.  We marshal the planes in, set them up, unload/reload and send them out. Most packages shipped on the planes are loaded into a ULD (Unit Load Device). We handle the movement of the ULDs on and off the aircraft and in and out of the facility.  The ULDs are transferred onto dollies which are equipped with a roller system. As a team, we work together to control the flow of the ULDs throughout the operation as they may weigh on average of 3,000 lbs.  So you must  be able to push/pull and be able to lift in excess of 50lbs.  

We work in all outdoor elements: RAIN, HEAT, WIND, and whatever else Mother Nature deems necessary for the season. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Properly and safely loads and unloads freight. Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines.
  • Protects freight from elements, damage and vandalism.
  • Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness. 
  • Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers.
  • Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained.
  • Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely.
  • Must successfully complete all training classes.
  • Obtains proper security documents for all shipments.
  • Performs other duties assigned by QAS management.
  • Compliance with all applicable environmental laws and permits.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass all required background and clearance requirements.
  • Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required.
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently. 
  • Employees must routinely lift and/or move up to, or in excess of 70 pounds. 
  • Employees must have the ability to climb 15 foot heights for work. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
