About the Role

The core function of the Academic Team Intern is to work alongside the Academic Team to ensure the quality of our instructional materials. Our videos, lesson plans, documents, practice problems, and assessments are used tens of thousands of times daily, and it is critical that the teachers and students who count on LearnZillion have an high quality and rewarding experience.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the creation and improvement of teacher and student-facing instructional materials such as videos, documents, and presentation slides, including supporting the artistic design of the materials
  • Ensure the quality of all instructional materials by reviewing, repairing, revising, and editing videos, documents, images, and presentation slides
  • Support the academic team in improving production quality and processes over the long term
  • Review site content proactively to identify areas for improvement

About the Position

Reporting directly to the President (a co-founder), you will be a part of the leadership team to manage key aspects of our financial functions and processes. Responsibilities

  • An expert practitioner of solution selling and challenger sales methodologies.
  • Verifiable track record of working with senior administration at the district and state level.
  • Strong drive to beat targets and a verifiable track record of achieving and exceeding annual quotas of $1-2M.
  • Ability to succeed within a high volume fast paced sales environment: prospecting, cold calling, building pipelines and closing business.

As a LearnZillion Coach, you will join a national community of coaches who lead powerful blended professional learning experiences for teachers and instructional leaders. You’ll be responsible for facilitating powerful learning for small teams of teacher leaders at in-person onsite workshops several times over the school year and through ongoing online professional learning communities (PLCs) using discussion boards and video conferencing. Your charge is to create a community that supports one another in planning instruction, and sharing best practices.

  • Facilitate engaging blended professional learning experiences for a team of teacher leaders.
  • Develop a collegial and supportive long-term relationship with the teacher leaders and instructional leaders of your assigned PLC, sustaining this relationship through regular remote collaboration.

  • Provide feedback to teacher leaders on the content and instructional materials that they develop.
  • Support a process of continual and rapid improvement of LearnZillion’s in-person and virtual professional development curriculum, including participating in regular trainings and evaluations of workshops.
  • Maintain reliable communication with other members of the LearnZillion team regarding progress, strengths, and next steps for your team of instructional and teacher leaders.
  • Support fellow coaches through ongoing communication and collaboration with our national team of coaches.
  • Participate in multiple virtual LearnZillion Coach training sessions prior to the event.

About you

  • You enjoy helping teachers create curricular materials including lesson plans, tasks and formative assessments.
