About the Role

The Customer Success Manager (CSM) is the primary owner of the business relationship between LearnZillion and the customer.  The CSM is responsible for the customer’s success with LearnZillion’s solutions, and is accountable for customer retention, growth and adoption, satisfaction, and stakeholder value.  The CSM will report directly to the Director of Customer Success and will collaborate with her on account strategy.

In this role you will do the following:

  • Grow relationships with customer stakeholders.
  • Serve as an informed thought partner to customers in all issues related to implementation rollout so that it leads to successful adoption of LearnZillion services and products.  
  • Conduct regular customer check ins (virtually and in person) in which you elicit goals from customers, provide data around progress, and keep customers informed of key, related product updates as they occur.  
  • Develop account strategies for maintaining strong customer health, ensuring renewal and possibly upsell opportunities.  
  • Provide assistance in creating and provisioning customer sites.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive teacher adoption and success.
  • Provide onboarding support to customers to ensure that a customer’s initial experiences with the site are successful.
  • Develop retention, renewal and expansion strategies for each account.
  • Provide input on Customer Success Team processes and procedures as required.

Specific requirements

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Professional Development and Training, the Professional Development Specialist will help design, develop, and implement LearnZillion’s blended professional learning and training programs, with an initial focus on literacy. You will help design, support and facilitate powerful in-person and online professional learning experiences for teachers and administrators in districts across the country.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the design and implementation of professional development programming for a portfolio of district partners from across the country in collaboration with other members of the LearnZillion Customer Success team

  • Facilitate professional development and training workshops across the country

About You

The Role

As a Curriculum Specialist, you will work with a small team to design and develop LearnZillion’s digital math curricular products, with a particular emphasis on products in Grades 6-12. We work with partners to make existing curricular products available in our digital platform and we also develop our own materials from scratch. This role will do both. You will support all aspects of curriculum development, including research and design, prototyping, and production. You will supervise key aspects of curricular products and workstreams. This includes project coordination, contractor support, content approval, and quality control / review.  In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Curriculum - Math.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate on a cross-functional team of product and curriculum experts charged with the design and execution of  world class, digital, standards aligned, instructionally rigorous, teacher-friendly, classroom-ready curriculum products.
  • In partnership with Product Management, lead a curriculum product or large strategic curriculum initiative, contributing to overall product strategy and providing pedagogical expertise and practical instructional guidance to ensure that products are coherent, rigorous, and practical to implement.
  • Collaborate with outside content partners, quickly establishing trust and a strong rapport that results in improved product offerings.
  • Oversee multiple, related curriculum projects simultaneously.
  • Create, manage and participate in curriculum development projects, including:
  • Write and maintain product specifications and guidelines for developing products
  • Recruit and support team of contractors or other third party contributors
  • Review and approve content created by others
  • Proofread copy and make necessary corrections
  • Liaise with the professional development team on curriculum trainings and PD.
  • Provide expertise in secondary math to the entire company, including supporting the efforts of the Sales team by collaborating on proposals.
  • Provide input to steer the design of other LearnZillion products, such as literacy curricula or software features.
  • Support the development of key components of the curricular products, such as writing explanations about how concepts progress across grades, descriptions, teacher supports and guidance, etc.
  • Collaborate with Academic Team colleagues to recruit, select, train, and manage part-time contractors who will assist with projects that support content creation and LearnZillion’s customers and partners.
  • Contribute to efforts to maintain the overall quality of LearnZillion products by proactively reviewing materials and providing expertise when questions or issues arise.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success and Professional Development Teams to ensure consistency in communication with customers.

About You

First and foremost, you have expertise in and love of all things math. You are comfortable and familiar with the mathematics standards from Grades K-12, though you particularly shine in understanding the content of the high school math standards and the pedagogical approaches that lead to conceptual understanding for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry students. You understand the progression of mathematical ideas across the grades and are able to pinpoint how gaps in this progression lead to misconceptions in high school. You also understand the rhythms and challenges of a range of high school math classrooms and can imagine how lessons and activities will play out for diverse high school learners and teachers.

You love working with teachers as they build their content knowledge and practice. You have a track record of success in coaching and supporting teachers in implementing math curriculum. You get excited about curricular materials including lesson plans, hands-on activities, rubrics, student work, and formative assessment.

Qualifications
