Project Administrator /Accounting - Commercial Flooring

$65,000 to $75,000 Starting Salary DOE

The Accountant position is responsible for various accounting functions in support of projects and the day-to-day general accounting activities. This person must have good communication and attention to detail as they will be working with our internal and external customers. 

Key duties include:

  • Inputs project budgets and material costs into company software.
  • Creates, updates, and oversees Potential Change Item (PCI) and contingency logs.
  • Approves and documents pay requests and material invoices.
  • Obtains and monitors all payments, lien waivers and verifies that the information is accurate.
  • Processes monthly client billings.
  • Expense reporting and reimbursement
  • Assisting in records management of company vehicles/equipment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of related accounting experience
  • Associates degree a plus
  • Industrial, manufacturing, construction or related industry experience a plus

The Commercial Sales Representative performs various tasks to ensure growth, revenue, and profitability for a Multi-State Region.  Critical to the success of the position includes:  Customer lead generations, prospecting and obtaining sales within assigned region, revenue growth and market penetration, expense management, existing customer management and new customer development.

Key duties include:

  • Manage revenue generation and profitability throughout the Region.
  • In coordination with the Regional Sales Manager, manage pricing strategies and discounts.
  • Develop/maintain relationships with and provide technical support to commercial floor covering contractors, general contractors (GC’s), distributors, and architects throughout the region.
  • Promote and increase product awareness through presentations, phone conversations, and e-mail communications.
  • Confer or consult with the marketing department to plan advertising services and to secure information on products and customer specifications.
  • Provide technical support for commercial floor covering contractors within the Region.
  • Represent company at national and local trade shows.

Ideal candidate should have:

  • Have 5+ years in flooring product sales management.
  • Lead and develop marketing initiatives within the region, as it relates to commercial segment.
  • Proven track record of managing a profit center; including meeting regional sales financial objectives, utilizes forecasting; preparing annual budgets; and scheduling sales and marketing expenditures, while implementing change when needed.
  • Able to quickly build trusted, honest relationships with current and new customers at multiple levels within a business.
  • Quickly take action on customer concerns, investigate situations and recommend solutions.

Material Testing Technician - Construction / Building Products

Location: Western Suburbs Minneapolis

$65,000 to $75,000 Starting Salary

Summary

The position offers the opportunity to gain knowledge while working with a variety of materials relevant to the construction industry including cements, polymers, adhesives, and chemical admixtures.   Will assist in preparing and testing both laboratory and field samples and reporting results to senior researchers.

Key duties include:

  • Prepare samples for testing at a range of scales. Activities include mixing or powders and liquids, pouring, cutting, and polishing.
  • Test physical properties of cements, polymers, and adhesive from both field and laboratory preparations.
  • Organize and maintain identification of samples originating from many locations. Record sample preparation and test result data using digital tools.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment and tools. Complete and coordinate regular calibration and repair of instruments. Maintain inventory of standard laboratory supplies.

Key Requirements Include:

  • Technical degree or laboratory experience in a related field.
  • Work safely around chemicals, high temperatures, power tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to contribute to team projects; have a collaborative and positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including direct customer support.
  • Required software skills are Microsoft Office, and ability to learn lab instrument software.
