Construction Operations Manager - Commercial Flooring

$100,000 to $120,000 Starting Salary Range - Plus Bonus

Summary

The Manager is responsible for the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned construction projects.  Our Manager will effectively cultivate good team and group dynamics, demonstrate the technical and practical expertise for successful project completion, and display an ongoing commitment to quality. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.  Develops projects to assure profitability and customer satisfaction.  

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain good relationships with external clients including superintendents and subcontractors in other trades
  • Manage pipeline of projects in various phases
  • Monitor costs including labor, time, and materials and keep jobs moving forward on time and within budget
  • Perform job site inspections prior to mobilization to ensure readiness
  • Supervision of field labor force including foremen and other construction personnel
  • Hiring, training and development of employee crew labor
  • Create training protocols as deemed necessary to improve operational performance
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and injury-free work environment

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of construction experience in commercial construction projects
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be an effective communicator with vendors, subcontractors, owners and co-workers

Diesel Mechanic

Overview

You are responsible for performing diagnostics and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty diesel vehicles. Your includes repairing and maintaining vehicles for proper operability and meeting vehicle safety standards.

Job description Responsibilities/Roles:

  • Performs scheduled and preventative maintenance to equipment, fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment.
  • Repairs equipment and directs what parts are to be ordered.
  • Maintains service/repair records.
  • Diagnoses and repairs fleet vehicle chassis and specialized vehicle back-end tank, pump and spray systems.
  • Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Time management and organizational skills, including punctuality for on-time attendance.
  • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Diesel mechanic certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Construction equipment experience a plus.
  • CDL a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable. accommodations.
  • Basic computer skills.
