Our client, has a long track record of success with a high service orientation and a team dedicated and committed to continued success. Their team members work hand-in-hand to create enduring designs in the home furnishing space. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will lead and develop customer-specific programs, projects, and initiatives for your respective sales channels.. You will work closely with the Director of Sales to create short term and long term strategic plans to drive sales growth. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify sales leads to build out a robust sales pipeline based on time needed to close, opportunity, value of opportunity and probability of closing.
  • Effectively manage sales pipeline to move leads from “qualified” to “won.”
  • Lead and develop customer-specific programs, projects, and initiatives for select key prospects and accounts to add incremental value to the prospect/customer and business.
  • Work closely with Director of Sales to create short term and long term strategic plans to drive sales growth for all respective sales channels.  Present these proposals internally and externally; gain alignment with cross-functional team to ensure projects are brought to completion within defined timelines. 
  • Own the entire sales process for each key account.  Position company for success thru effective pitch presentations, commercialization plans, training, transition management, online merchandising, and sales / inventory management. 
  • Generate ideas for innovating in the areas of marketing, product/services, e-commerce, technology and other areas important to our key accounts in order to grow profitable sales and improve our competitive advantage.  
  • Uncover and align customer expectations with company resources during the life of the customer relationship. Resources include working with Product Design, Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Accounting and Production to create and manage product, services, pricing, and support systems to maintain and grow profitable sales.
  • Ensure regular financial management for each key accounts to include profitability and POS analysis, demand / sales forecasting, and work with Supply Chain to maximize customer service metrics.
  • Build and develop strong business relationships with buyers, category managers, directors of business development, divisional merchandising managers and all decision makers within identified key accounts.
  • Maintain a knowledge of external market factors, including competitive information that may affect account decisions and product recommendations to viewed as a go-to partner for doing business.
  • Provide regular input and reporting to Director of Sales, including status and customer reports to ensure continued focus and financial objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Assist with other key account initiatives, as defined by Director of Sales.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience to online retailers, preferably in the home décor industry.
  • Leadership by example.
  • Hunter mentality with the ability to prospect, qualify and win incremental business.
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth.
  • Strong ability to influence buying decisions and negotiate effectively, to bring about win-win solutions.
  • Ability to successfully operate in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong business development skills and strategic thinking ability required.
  • Creative thinking skills - brings fresh perspective & new ideas.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, detail-oriented problem-solver and organized.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for meetings, trade shows, and customer/sales manager interaction (25% - 50%).
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Track record of successfully completing projects involving cross-functional teams.

  • Develop, implement, and analyze marketing driven testing (both A/B split and multivariate testing scenarios) and make recommendations to maximize clicks, conversions and lead generation efforts.
  • Plan and manage SEO strategy and tactics to drive qualified traffic that convert into leads.
  • Use data to drive planning: perform ROI analysis and use results to drive decisions on how to maximize
  • Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and insights to management about visitor and prospect behavior to optimize lead conversion and improve retention
  • Evaluate paid and organic campaign effectiveness and oversee agency partner to drive qualified leads into the marketing funnel
  • Manage all aspects of our e-mail platform including lead scoring, email and landing page development, testing, database management, reporting & analytics, optimization
  • Implement and continuously improve processes related to marketing automation
  • Conduct data analysis and segmentation to identify campaign opportunities

Key Requirements

  • 4-year college degree required preferably in Business, Marketing or related course of study; Or equivalent work experience running successful large-scale digital marketing campaigns.
  • 2-5 years working in digital marketing particularly managing websites and email campaigns
  • Has worked with Omniture, Google Analytics or other website analytics tools
  • Familiarity with Magento Commerce 2.x+ is a MUST
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, email best practices, and CAN-SPAM/CASL compliance requirements
  • Experience with lead generation website traffic tracking preferred
  • Expertise in email marketing and/or lead nurturing. Can you talk about campaigns you've run that turn people from leads into qualified leads? Or otherwise move people to the next stage in the purchase funnel?
  • Proven track record of bringing new ideas to the table. We need someone who is able to re-invent and not just execute on status quo.

  • Expertise in using web analytics and sales data to drive decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and to validate the success of key site changes/enhancements. Should be very comfortable with web metrics.
