  • Performing road tests and safety inspections following all regulations and safety procedures while meeting company expectations
  • Working in a high functioning afternoon shop team that takes pride in clean, solid work

What will your day look like:

  • Accurate weighing of empty and loaded cargo for processing
  • Communication with dispatch, foreman, and farmers daily
  • Completion of paperwork, including Electronic logs and bill of ladings

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Promote and follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment - for yourself and your team.
  • Work with our digital systems to complete work orders, log repairs, and manage inventory with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to document complaints, causes, and corrections.
  • Carry out regular preventative maintenance and ensure all vehicles meet provincial and company standards.
  • Independently executes complex repairs with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong technical expertise.
  • Conduct on-road emergency service calls as needed.
  • Proficient in using Freightliner troubleshooting software to accurately diagnose and repair engine fault codes.
  • Can perform regular repairs with little or no supervision, from engines and hydraulics to brake systems and suspensions.
  • Knows how to weld using stick and/or mig
  • Strong active listening skills and the ability to take direction effectively.
  • Must have your own set of tools in good working order
  • Punctual and able to complete repairs on time while ensuring quality deliverables
  • 310T License (Ontario Government Certificate of Qualification)
  • 2+ years experience as a licensed truck mechanic
  • Class G license (AZ license is a bonus!)
  • A proactive, independent work ethic with a team mindset
  • Commitment to safety and compliance
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 100 lbs
