Experience: Previous experience in poultry supervision would be an asset; however, candidates with 12-24 months of current or recent poultry experience would be considered.
Type of Farm Operations: Poultry Chicken and Turkey catching
Specific Skills: Duties include organizing and driving crews to the farm, setting up barns for poultry catching, detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry.Operate and maintain poultry related machinery and equipment. In the course of catching and loading, employee may be required to operate and maintain basic poultry related machinery and equipment (all non - licence requiring equipment). Follow food safety and security and animal bio-security procedures and other poultry related tasks. Clean and disinfect the work site, including poultry related equipment. Removing equipment after the work is completed, and other poultry related tasks. Supervisor expected to liaise directly with employees and employer, identify potential issues, select course of action, in coordination with the employer.
